silversword 0
It'd be great to see an addition to evernote that when you have a business card picture that's been taken to be able to sent it to your contact manager with all the Evernote OCR smarts that's built in. You could have it send to .vcf format and then it'd be compatible with every Contact manager software I can think of.David Troesch Link to comment

engberg 89
Evernote's text processing isn't just simple OCR:http://www.evernote.com/pub/ensupport/f ... 8fc3085a02We can handle a wider variety of images as a result ... we don't have to get every word 100% correct on the first try to be useful. Instead, you can use Evernote to search for the original data. Link to comment
snafroth 0
I´d love to see this function as well, so I do not have another software to OCR my business cards. It should be very easy to provide a very simple field editor to correct wrong scanned values. Link to comment
slindsay4784 0
I am new to evernote and noticed that when I scan a business card it gives me the option to email, I assume it finds the email address allowing me to do this. Is there a way to call from the number on the card? If not is this something being worked on? If this were possible I would have no need to add to my contacts on my phone, I would just simply search through evernote. This would be awesome. Anyone? Link to comment
engberg 89
No, Evernote doesn't currently have a way to find phone numbers on business cards and make phone calls from those. Link to comment
meeware 0
f i could run a search query in the api the returned text strings and note identifiers, then a regex script should let me post process such notes. api gurus, is this a goer? Link to comment
engberg 89
We don't currently have a mechanism to grab all of the "text" out of a note, since this is an extraction of a lot of different components (e.g. PDFs, etc.). Link to comment
