(Archived) Evernote doesn't open after OS10.8.5 supplemental update

Hi all,

Just updated to OS 10.8.5 supplemental update, and now Evernote will not open. Error message says to check with the developer to see if the application works with this version of the OS. Anyone else had this problem? Need to get this fixed before next semester!

I have not experienced this.

Can you check your settings in

System preferences>privacy and security>general

What is your setting for "allow applications downloaded from..."?

Also, what version of Evernote are you running and is it from the Mac App Store or was it downloaded from Evernote.com?

My settings allow downloads from anywhere.

 

I downloaded Evernote 6 months ago from the evernote.com website. Should I re-download from the app store? I'm on evernote 5.4.3. I also sync with my evernote.com online account, so I don't think I'm in danger of losing my notes.

The most recent release is 5.4.4. I do not recommend switching to the App Store version. An uninstall and reinstall of 5.4.4 might solve Your issue.
