Xenomorph 0 Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 I see it is $45 a year to go Premium, remove the ads, and get other stuff. What if I just want to remove the ads?Why not offer a $10, $15, or $20 version that is just ad-free (but still has the functionality of the free version)?
dvdmon 0 Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 I'm guessing it's because the folks at EN (or their marketing wing at least) think that having to many pricing options might get confusing. Personally the ads are not that distracting to me so I wouldn't upgrade just for that, I'm guessing if you take a poll, very few would upgrade just for that, even for a lower price (say $20/year). I do think that they could have more than two tiers of accounts without it getting confusing, and that's probably coming down the line at some point, but they only introduced the premier account last year...
