(Archived) Updating screenshots

Let's say I've got my image, copied the direct image URL link and pasted it on to my site. 

 

I now want to edit that image, so I do so in my Skitch. 

 

The new direct image URL link reflects the change. 

 

However, the image on my site does not. 

 

Is this how it works? Is there an easier way to do this without having to go in and change the URL (although wouldn't it be the same URL) on my site?

The URL does not change when you edit an image that you created in Skitch. As long as the changes are sync'ed to Evernote, if you reload the page the updated image will be shown. No need to change the URL. Just change the image and sync.
