Scanning a Notebook

I've started using Penultimate in an effort to go paperless with my writing and blogging. What I do is have a Penultimate/Evernote window open on one side of the screen and a Word document or blog post on the other side so I can easily copy down what I've written. I have a giant notebook filled with writing that I would like to easily copy over. What's the best way, if there is one, I can scan the notebook and have it appear in Evernote in one note so I can easily copy what I've written into a computer file?

I assume that your notebook is in handwritten form. If that's the case, you'll be able to scan the pages as images and store them in Evernote, but it will be very difficult to extract text from those images (i.e. to paste into Word).
