(Archived) Is there a workaround for numbering?

I have been using evernote for a few months now and can't figure out a way to adjust the numbering format so that when you select the numbering icon on the tool bar it will automatically switch between numbers and alpha lists as you tab to create subcategories.  For example,

 

1.  XXXXXXX

        a.

        b.

                i.

 

Instead everytime I tab it just starts over at 1. which is driving me nuts

 

1. xxxxxxxxxxxxx

      1.  xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

                 1. xxxxxxxxxxxxx

 

Is there anyway to fix this?

Sorry but the usual "use an external editor and cut /paste the content" is about as good as you'll get until the guys do something about the built-in editor...
