Idea

i upgraded to skitch 2  and i so regret it now...

i have 5000+ skitch images in my old skitch history folder

short of opening them one by one in skitch 2

i can't fina away to automate the conversion.

is there a batch utility of some sort to convert them to pngs?

i have 5000+ old .skitch images i can't convert

if i reinstall an older version of skitch they no longer appear in history bc i no longer have th original plist that had all those files listed.

i'm googling like a mad woman

does anyone have any kind of solution?

Hi. Welcome to the forums. Sorry to hear about the trouble. Do you have a Time Machine backup?

nope - no time machine

i use 3 external hard drives for backups

i use hard drive backups & the skitch.history & skitch.plist are missing on all of them

and i can't quite figure out how to i'm going to deal with 5000+ images to convert them into something useable

i seriously wanna cry

YAY!!!

i figured out that skitch images are actually svg files.

if you change the .skitch extension to .svg you can find a method of conversion

I used a batch process i wrote in illustrator (which took a long time & required renaming) for 75 images i needed right away.

you do lose the nifty outline & shadows to the lettering but i can live with that.

i'm installing image magick on my mac with the intent of using graphic converter to do the remainder.
