nlozeron 0
I keep hearing about the text recognition being so cool in evernote but i have yet to see it work in my evernote...I've tried importing a PDF and a JPEG images and text in both are not recognized. The JPEG image is was a MS Word document so it should have no problem recognizing it... Do i have to show evernote where the text is located on the pictures and PDF's? I just have the basic (free) version...do i have to upgrade to get this feature working? Link to comment
engberg 89
We don't process images within PDF documents (yet). You should be able to search for text within a JPEG file after it has been processed, however. This takes anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on the platform you're using.Computer screen-shots are frequently harder to process than "real" images and scans of text because of the odd artifacts that make fonts appear on a screen. Try taking a JPEG image of a billboard or book cover and see if that works after a few minutes instead. Link to comment
Jayjayel 0
I have the same problem. It's been ages longer than a few minutes and text recognition even for scanned jpg documents does not work at all. I'm a premium member as well. Link to comment
Jayjayel 0
It works now. It seems to take quite a bit longer than a few minutes. But as long as it works is fine with me. Link to comment
