joaniben 1
I am new to this so sorry if it's a dumb question. Can I open a note window in Evernote while in a diff app with a keyboard shortcut, so I don't have to click into EN to start a new note? Thanks! Link to comment
forever-evernote 29
Hi joaniben, What version of Evernote are you using? We recently released 5.0.7 with "Quick Note" functionality -- so that you can quickly make a note, take a full or partial screenshot and record audio all within the Evernote Helper (elephant icon) on your top menu bar. There are a couple ways to go about this, both through keyboard shortcuts that can be accessed by Evernote > Preferences > Shortcuts.1. Quick Note: CTRL-CMD-N2. New Note Window: CTRL-OPT-CMD-N Quick Note generates a "quick note" from Evernote Helper, while New Note Window generates a new note window within the EN app -- both shortcuts will generate notes that will land in your default notebook (which can be changed through Evernote > Preferences > General). Hope that helps! Link to comment
