kalt 0
Is there any real reason why images in PDF files aren't scanned? Will this eventually be fixed?Seems silly to scan other image formats but not this.(Or am i missing something obvious on how to make this happen) Link to comment
engberg 89
A JPEG file contains a single image of a single type. A PDF file may contain hundreds of different images, in a variety of different formats. Some of those formats aren't currently implemented by Evernote. As a result, extracting all of the text from all of the images contained within a PDF for search purposes is a much bigger task than we'd originally hoped. We still plan to do this, but it's not a trivial task. Thanks Link to comment
