om3ga777 0 Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Seriously? So this is actually nothing more than a "save this PDF to Evernote"? Could jbignert confirm that?
awygle 0 Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Are there plans to support this feature for Firefox anytime soon?
jbignert 473 Posted March 17, 2013 Author Posted March 17, 2013 Hi again Glen,Ok, not sure why I thought you were on Safari. The Adobe reader advice does not apply to Chrome. It should work just fine without. Upgrading may or may not solve it, however we test on 10.7.x & 10.8.x so hopefully that takes care of it. Let me know otherwise. Here's a sample URL that (one of many we test against) http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw4.pdf
Glen_Saberton 0 Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 Hi there Browncoat, Thank you for your prompt response. -I am getting to closer to needing to upgrade to 10.7 your reply get me closer *smile*-I am using Chrome not Safari does this matter, does the adobe reader rule still apply? Thank for your help. I think I will up grade in the next month or so at a timely gap in my work. -Glen
jbignert 473 Posted March 17, 2013 Author Posted March 17, 2013 Hi Glen, a few tips could be - If you can update to 10.7 or higher that may help. we do not officially support 10.6.8 anymore for the Safari Clipper.- Try installing the Adobe Reader, it will make the clipping experience generally better as we cannoinject any feedback on the clipping process if you do not have it. (Safari limitation)- If you are comfrotable sharing the URL to the PDF site we can run tests on that. Also, what Safari version and Clipper version are you running? In general PDF support is pretty mature across Evernote apps.
Glen_Saberton 0 Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 Hi all I am trying to Clip PDf's from Chrome on Mac OSX 10.6.8 and the it doesn't work. Then tried to add the same 1.5MB PDF directly from the finder and it embedded into the note as expected but Evernote then fails to sync. Removing the PDF allow evernote to Sync again. Are PDF's in Evernote still work in progress? SincerelyGlen
jbignert 473 Posted February 19, 2013 Author Posted February 19, 2013 @brettmumaw Can you send me a sample URL of a PDF that fails to clip? Also please let us know what OS, browser & clipper versions you are on.
brettmumaw 2 Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 I can't get this to work. I am trying to clip a pdf, but it never finishes. I only get the message Clipping “reportlax.rapmls.com/ConvertToPDF.aspx?SessionNumber=170479560”
keithwbacon 0 Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Unfortunately, it needs to be a url that has a .pdf extension In Safari you can just print and save to Evernote as PDF
orrorin6 0 Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Same -- the PDF option is always grayed out.
om3ga777 0 Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 I have not found a single page, which allows me to use the option "save as pdf" in the web clipper - it's permanently greyed out. Am I doing something wrong?I'm using Chrome 24.0.1312.52 and the latest stable Evernote Web Clipper extension.
jbignert 473 Posted January 16, 2013 Author Posted January 16, 2013 Hi all,The Clipper version 5.9.5 has now been released to production. I encourage all beta testers to re-install the Web Clipper from production to get future automatic updates. http://evernote.com/webclipper/Thanks for your feedback.
jbignert 473 Posted January 14, 2013 Author Posted January 14, 2013 @A.johnston - please see the install instructions on the note. You must install unpublished extensions that way.
A.Johnston 0 Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Can you upload the beta to the Google chrome store? Chrome will not allow me to download the beta file unless it is present in the store. Thank you!
AngryChineseWoman 0 Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 I just installed 5.9.5 beta and used to clip 3 different pdf's. worked like a charm for me. Thanks for adding! Super handy.
ydk_wings 0 Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Haven't tried the PDF feature, but would just like to note that 5.9.5 beta fixed my issue of Web Clipper hanging on "Waiting for page..." which was still present with 5.9.4. Thanks!
