(Archived) Notebook Appearance

Is there really no way to change the appearance of the notebooks in the Notebooks view? Like, add an icon, so that all my notebooks don't look exactly the same, and so it's a little easier to find the notebook I want?

No, however, Evernote has been throwing in quite a bit of eye-candy in the most recent upgrades. So it can't be ruled out.

Many users start out by creating too many notebooks. Evernote is more efficient if a few notebooks are created to represent wide, broad categories. Tags are used to fine tune the search results. Well-named consistent individual note titles also help immensely.

If you have so many notebooks that it is difficult to find them, you also might want to add a few stacks to categorize the notebooks.
