(Archived) iphone search - am I missing something?

Say I have 1700 notes in my notebook and I want to search for something using iphone app.

What looks like is happening is the search only works if the note that contains the string has been downloaded to the iphone. Initilaly the search returns nothing. But if I scroll down and hit "load 25 more notes" several dozen times until the note I'm looking for has been downloaded, the search succeeds.

How is this behavior useful for anything?

Could you clarify the problem? Are you saying that you perform a search, and there are no entries in the list? (I.e. just an empty list with "load 25 more notes" at the bottom?)

Or do you search, see a lot of results in the list, but then have problems opening one of them from the search results?
