New to Evernote, desktop version on a Mac. When I create a new notebook, I cannot select the notebook type. A synchronized notebook is selected by default and the choice is not highlighted so as to change the selection. To back up, when I click 'New Notebook' a notebook appears with a default name highlighted but I cannot see or select the options (gear wheel) until I click on the notebook which then creates it and doesn't allow me to make a change to the notebook type. Am I missing something obvious here? I would like to create one local notebook. I searched forums. Thnx.
