(Archived) Basic Filing

Hi there -

I am new to Evernote, and delighted to discover it, but I am disappointed by the way in which once I've filed notes to their relevant notebook, they don't seem to delete from the list going down the centre of the page.. If I delete them from here individually, will they also be deleted from their target notebooks? Or is there a way I can set it so that as I move a note to a notebook it automatically removes itself from the central box?

Change the notebook.

If you are looking at the All Notes notebook, you will see all your notes.

Change to a different notebook and many of the notes will be hidden.
