robbyb327 0
Hi,Got a puzzler here. I have Evernote on two Macs. On one, I can format text within notes using the formatting bar. On the other, I can't; nothing I do changes the text. Anyone have any ideas what's going on?Thanks. Link to comment
engberg 89
Do you see this problem even if you start a new note and only type into the note? (I.e. no clipping or pasting?)Are you using different versions of OS X or Safari on these computers? Link to comment
robbyb327 0
Hi Dave,Yup, it happens with a brand-new note, and both computers are running 10.6.6, with v 5.03 of Safari.Could it be some kind of font cache issue?Robby Link to comment
engberg 89
I've heard of "font cache" problems in a few cases, but that's certainly unusual. You could try:http://www.macworld.com/article/139383/ ... clear.html Link to comment
robbyb327 0
Dave,That did it! Here's one for your anecdotal database, and maybe your knowledgebase, too.One thing, though: The MacWorld article has the commands slightly wrong; the server stuff didn't work due to an extra "$", but the comments provided the fix.The commands to remove the current user's font cache, and stop and restart the font server should be:atsutil databases -removeUseratsutil server -shutdownatsutil server -pingThanks so much for your prompt help.Evernote is way cool.Robby Link to comment
