Thumbnail of photo showing as grey paper

When I create a new note and drag in a photo, when I see it in my list of notes in my Outfits notebook, the thumbnail of the photo looks like a grey page, instead of a picture. As per below, only one time did the thumbnail show up. When i actually open the note i can see the photo but i need to be able to see the thumbnail and scroll through.

Hi.  How big are the files you're adding to the notes?  Thumbnails have to be created - they're much-slimmed-down versions of originals,  and given a choice of images Evernote will usually go for the smallest to convert.  If you're only including one image and it's a large one,  updating the thumbnail may be very slow...

I just took screenshots of the photos to create smaller .png files and it worked like a charm. Thanks!
