Evernote Tasks

In the Home Screen I create a new task and add text in the description field and then save.  When I click on the newly created task, the text in the description field is not there.  When I click on the left side of the screen, where the Home, Shortcuts, Notes, Tasks, etc., are listed, I can click on Tasks, and the new task and the Description appears.  Why does it not appear in both places?

Hi.  Can we have some screenshots?  If I open a task I can always see the extra text.  Plus - device / OS & Evernote version numbers please.

When I click on my Home Page, and pick the task from that page, the description is absent.  When I click on the menu options on the left side of the screen, and pick tasks, and the particular task, the description is visible.

Sorry,  I still don't understand - I can see the description field in both the first and last images.  The middle picture is a menu - it's not meant to show details.
