Older notes are view only in web

I've found loads of references to this happening on Android and IOS, but in the web client, notes over a year or so old are locked as view only.

I can edit them in the android app, and the web client shows the editing is happening, but nothing I can do will let me edit them in the web.

I can add new notes and edit ones that I've added recently, this is just old notes.

Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forums. Please take a look at this thread, and the Evernote blog post linked there. Possibly Evernote's complete transformation of how the Web client synced caused these problems while the transition was happening. Or maybe not. Is the problem still occurring?

It looks like it is fixed and I just got really unlucky with timings!
