EPERM error on launch of Evernote

I just installed Evernote on my Windows 10 laptop.  I went to Evernote.com to download. When I click on the .exe file, it attempts to install and then gives me this error message:

 

"Configuration File Error

C:\Users\Rhonda\Appdata\Roaming\Evernote\config.json

Error: EPERM: operation not permitted, open

'C:\Users\Rhonda\AppData\Roaming\Evernote\config.json' "

How to fix this?

Hi.  Seems like a corrupted file somewhere.  If you have a different version of Evernote installed I'd recommend a dep-clean uninstall with something like Revo Uninstaller Free (obviously skip this step if you don't!)  then power your device off and on again,  and re-download and re-install.

I don't have a different version of Evernote installed. I've been using the browser version
