Evernote for Windows 10.58.8 is incredibly slow at startup after latest update.

You could try refreshing your database -

1. Go to sign out and tick "remove my data"
2. sign back into Evernote and allow the server to rebuild your local setup.

Or you could go the whole way...

1. Go to sign out and tick "remove my data"
2. Use Revo Uninstaller Free to 'nuke' Evernote and any related system files
3. Restart your computer to clear any temporary caches
4. Re-download and reinstall the latest Evernote app
5. NB this will take a little while depending on the size of your account,  and the speed of your connection:  don't do it when you're in a hurry!

Thank you, I did the reinstall - but in the end the issue was related to a virus scan process which slowed down the whole system. Reinstall of the virus scan software solved the problem.
