No, I have never observed something similar on our iPads. We use several, iPad Air 5 (M1), iPad Pro 10.5 and a venerable iPad Air 2. All are running on EN iOS 10.51.1.  There are some bugs, but no duplication issues.

First step to solve problems is to log out of your account, quit the app and restart the iPad. Open the app again, log in. This should eliminate data that my have got stuck somehow, leading to malfunctions.
