Any chance Evernote on Android will get a permanent notification icon option?

The only thing I don't like about the Android version is the need for the desktop widgets. Basically, when you find something you want to send to Evernote, you have to "background" the application, go to the correct home screen as your widgets, launch Evernote, then re-enter the application.

IMHO, a slicker solution would be to be able to launch Evernote directly from an icon in the notification bar. An example of this would be a clipboard utility called "Clipper", if you would like a reference as to exactly what I mean.
