Export note not working

I can export as pdf but when I press the export button on the export note dialog box (whether .enex or html) nothing happens

Weird.  I'm on EN 10.39 on Windows and it works fine for me...  Tried a restart? / Update to latest version? (from Evernote.com - the App Store isn't there yet)

weirder.

did the download and install process. Mac said that my application was newer than the download - yet the download wanted to install 10.40.x, 

 

In the process of doing this I had closed the application on my Mac. I restarted it and checked versions again. Now it says 10.39.x and export works just fine.

Any fix you can walk away from....
