Abruptly exiting title of a new note

I create a new note. I tab back to the Title field. I enter a few characters and the edit focus moves itself forward to the note text.
I usully start my note titles with the date, like "22-06-16". The focus usually moves after the month and date, i.e. between character 5 and 6. Because of what I'm entering, I'm pretty confident I'm not hitting Tab or Return at that time. I don't know if the move is triggered by the 6th character, or the hyphen, or time, or what.
This does not occur every time, but it has happened enough times that I noticed it.
I think this occurs on both my work Mac and my personal Mac, so it's not a keyboard or machine issue. Both are running the same versions of OS and Evernote.

I am experiencing this issue, as well, though for me the title if losing focus within the first one or two characters.  It will happen at least twice before I'm able to type the full title of the note.  Seems to have started happening relatively recently.  Would love a resolution to this bug!
