keyboard shortcuts won't work for any other window if evernote is open, even if it is not the selected window. this makes it so when using command+find in document or command+tab for new window on internet, evernote pops up and performs said function.

The only EN shortcuts that are supposed to work outside of EN are the so called "global shortcuts". These can be changed or disabled from the keyboard shortcut menu. (help -> keyboard shortcuts)
