Evernote v6 don't propose the v10 update ?

Hi,

I discover with this forum that a new version of Evernote exist since month !

I never receveid any mail, notification and even if I go to the update menu of the 6 version it said that my version is up to date !

 

It's really annoying.

 

There are also other features that I have been missing in Evernote since years but if the new version are not instaled I can follow of there is some change !

Hi.  The new version 10 is ... not universally popular,  so be sure you want to update!  Go to Evernote.com and download the latest version from there.  I'd suggest you check out the system requirements too - if you're running an earlier version of Windows,  Version 10 might not be available for your PC.

Ok I can understand that it is not popular and of course I've already installed before writing my post. But I ask why we don't have the information that a new version was released. No notification or e-mail or reminder even when you go on the update menu.

And also,since the v10 was relaesed, did the v6 still have correction ? New features have to be request only for the 10 version ?

Hi.  No clue - we're a (mainly) user-supported forum.  You could contact support and ask them?

V6.25 is what I'm still using since v10 lacks some features that I will need on a daily basis.  It still works and syncs unless and until Evernote says it will not.  The company are not supporting v6 though - if anything does go wrong with your setup,  they'll tell you to update to v10 and go from there.  If your current v10 replaced the previous version you had installed,  you can use the 'Legacy' app which is designed to co-exist.

V10 bugs and feature requests can be raised in those areas of the Forum - there are lots of reports and requests already,  so vote for any that affect you, and add anything new that you will need in future...

Thank you for your answer. I notice that it's an user-supported forum. I'm little bit desapointed with this new way that the brand "give" support but...

 

So I will perhaps use the request forum to try to add my feature and hope that V10 will work fine for me.

I downloaded the Legacy zip file but I can't get it to launch.  Is there an EXE file that I can use to run this?  I would like to export to HTML but it's not included in the new version.  Thanks.

You're welcome! This is not a "new" way - this has always been a (mainly) user-supported forum,  though developers and other staff do read entries regularly to get feedback and see how things are going with new releases. 

As a subscriber you have direct access to chat (subject to demand and timezones) and email support via the link I posted above.  Reporting an issue gets you an immediate ticket number which establishes your place in the queue.  Responses from a human take a little longer... usually a few days.
