(Archived) Shortcut question

I use a shortcut on one of my homescreens and it works great. But, I noticed that there is a create shortcut function inside the app. (All Notes > Menu > Create Shortcut) I can't figure out what that does. Can someone shed some light on this for me?

It seems this is to create a shortcut to the notebook (not to a note).

That's correct. You can create a short-cut for note list. i.e. you can go to a specific notebook (or tag), making a "short-cut" will bring you to a note list of that notebook (or tag). Same thing for search. Do a search and Evernote will give you a list of notes. Make a short-cut can bring yo back the same search results.

If you only select one note and make a short cut, it will bring you back to that note.
