Recommended Posts

Today we released Evernote for Windows 10.10 (v 10.10.5 build 2487).

This release is primarily a bug fix release with some notable improvements to functionality. Past release notes are archived here.

It is available now via the Windows Store and as a direct download version from our website. If you are already running one of these versions, we are progressively rolling out to compatible devices and the new version will be available on all supported operating systems within 7 days. New to Windows 10.10

  • You can now change the background color and pattern for your handwritten notes and sketches.
  • Now you can add up to 600 characters to your Home scratch pad.
  • Drag-and-drop a note into Gmail or Outlook desktop application (drag and drop to Outlook Web not supported at this time) to insert a link to that note in an email.
  • Notes can now be sent to trash using the delete key. You should see it reflected in the keyboard shortcuts menu.
  • Evernote for Windows is now compatible with Windows in S mode (if you are running the Evernote version from the Windows Store)
  • Various stability and performance improvements.

Fixed highlights:

  • If you had your notes sorted by title, the app would sometimes put the ones starting with numbers in the wrong order.
  • Merge note actions should be faster.
  • An issue where editing tags would sometimes cause the app to crash.

Coming soon:

  • Quickly search and move to different note using a keyboard shortcut (Mac - CMD+J, Windows - Ctrl+Q)
  • Create new audio recordings and playback audio file
  • Dragging and dropping note links and tags directly into your note
  • Additional export options
  • Import folder

Let us know what you think and we appreciate the continued feedback. We will keep hard at work! Thank you!
