Thomas_101 0
This is more of a technical issue, so hopefully it can reach some devs at Evernote! Chrome normally discards open tabs when they've been running for a long period of time, or when the machine is under memory pressure. When you switch back to the tab, Chrome wakes it back up, but it partially restores state so is different to a cold load. When this happens Evernote always takes more than 30 seconds to load. You can simulate the discard and reproduce with: 1. Chrome 89.0.4389.82 2. Open Evernote & sign in 3. Load chrome://discards & urgent discard the evernote tab 4. Return to evernote, it sits at the loading screen for at least 30 seconds. The dev console continues to log failed IPC messages. (see attached) I've not tested on other Chromium versions or browsers, but it would probably affect Edge, Brave, Vivaldi etc Hope this helps someone! Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 12,070 Posted March 19, 2021 Level 5* Share Posted March 19, 2021 Hi. This is a mainly user-supported forum, so your chances of reaching a dev are... likely to be delayed. The team do read the forums, but there are a lot of posts! Link to comment
