Shortcut keys no longer working

I just upgraded to 10.8.5 (2367), and now "ctrl-;" no longer inserts the date and time.

ctrl+/ gives you a list of all the keyboard and other shortcuts. Adding the date and time has been split into two. The new commands (with my way of remembering them!) are:

ctrl-shift-D adds the time ("I need to control my time better")

alt-shift-D add the date ("Can we find an alternative date?")

Thanks, Mike.  It's too bad they felt the need to change something that just worked...it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks!

One more related issue...the new date-only keyboard shortcut spells out the month name rather than using numbers (i.e. "March 5, 2021" rather than "3/5/2021").  Is there a way to configure this?
