Notes and notebook not syncing with new mac laptop download - showing only old notes worked on previous mac.

Hello,

Just joined the forum after 7 exasperating days trying to get Evernote customer service/technical department to help me by email.

I downloaded Evernote onto a new Mac last week. I noticed that the notes that I had worked on for a month (from September 14th until current) on a temporary PC

had not synced or downloaded with the new installation. The web account had synced fully with the PC and continues to do so.

I now need to begin using Evernote on the new Mac laptop but I cannot do so until it has synced all the notes AND notebooks I set up during September 14th until now.

I noticed that the notes on the new installation of the Mac stopped on August 13th.  This was the last time I used Evernote on my old Mac desktop which I traded in for this new Mac laptop.

I also noticed the same non-syncing issue on my iPhone. Checked in with Apple Support but after troubleshooting they indicating that this is about the Evernote issue.

I have gone back and forth with Evernote since last week and it is Day 6 and there is no resolution in sight. I have done everything they asked including sending a log from the Mac laptop but there solution in terms of Exporting notes from the Web to the mac laptop does not work as there is actually no export option on  the right -click on the mac. 

Please can someone advise? This is the only app thus far that I have not managed to get set up and work on my new mac laptop and it is also the only app that has required 6 days of interfacing with customer service with no resolution in sight.

I have this problem too. Evernote runs on my iphone and iMac and web browser fine. 

I got a new Macbook air laptop. On the laptop, the evernote app has synced notes up to two months ago, and no further notes or changes to notebooks. 

On the laptop, if I empty trash, the notes vanish, and then come back again. 

I have updated the laptop software to the latest bigsur 11.0.1. Deleted Evernote, deleted all the logs and back ups, emptied trash, restarted, re-downloaded and reinstalled the app about 3-4 times, but the same issue remains. 3 devices have my up to date notes, and the laptop app seems to be frozen on a version from 2 months ago. 

If I add a new note on the laptop app it will sync to my other devices.

I got this reply from support... This worked for me...

 

I can confirm that this is a known issue with the new Evernote. Our development team is trying to fix the error as soon as they can.

You can download the Evernote Legacy app by following the instructions in this Help & Learning article: Install an older version of Evernote. Once you have the older version on your computer, you can delete it there.
