wwwebsternote 1 Posted October 18, 2020 Posted October 18, 2020 The Drafts app for macOS includes a feature called "New Note in Evernote", which posts the text in the current buffer into Evernote. Attempting this with Evernote-10.1.6, installed, I get an error which says: "There is no application set to open the URL evernote://x-callback-url/new-note? ... " Attempting this with Evernote Legacy, nothing happens until Drafts returns a 'timed-out' error. I filed an issue (#3179700) for this. Is this a known issue, or should I look for some configuration problem on my end? [I'm running macOS 10.15.7 (Catalina)] 1
Solution bishopblaize 66 Posted October 19, 2020 Solution Posted October 19, 2020 I believe url scheme support has gone. Drafts automations that use the Evernote web api should still work. See this note (half way down) https://forums.getdrafts.com/t/using-evernote-with-drafts/21
wwwebsternote 1 Posted October 20, 2020 Author Posted October 20, 2020 Thanks for the reply on this. I see in that same section of the Drafts forum that the latest versions of Evernote on iOS & macOS have withdrawn support for URL schemes. Further down they say that Email into Evernote "is generally the best option for integrating with Evernote on the Mac". Seems like this round of "remodeling" has pulled out much of the wiring, but the plumbing still works...
