Just a simple UX suggestion: currently, to show or hide the left panel, you can go to the View menu and use the relevant menu item, or use the F10 shortcut key. Since my memory cache of application-specific shortcut keys is only so large, it would be simpler and more direct if you could also toggle left panel state by double-clicking on an unused area in the panel.
