Writing Mode

I love Evernote but I find the writing interface... Meh. Looking for a minimalist writing Mode that gives me a calming, Medium-like interface, with slimmed down style choices that make it easy to just write with the basic formatting.

Not clear on why we need a second request   
My recommendation is to use the editor of your choice,   
and store the document as a note file attachment   
Files of any format can be stored in a note
