avibodha 1 Posted October 20, 2018 Share Posted October 20, 2018 I want to open a new window, so I go to menu File, New Window, and instead a tab opens in the current window (showing a notes list). How do a get a new window? Currently I drag the tab out of that window and it makes it into a new window. thanks Link to comment
stephen_bradley 58 Posted October 27, 2018 Share Posted October 27, 2018 Don't know if this will fix it for you, Go into the System Preferences -> Dock and check the "Prefer tabs when opening documents:" preference. If it says "Always", change it to something else. "In Full Screen Only" is a good option. I have mine set to "Always" and it does what you're describing, so there's a good chance that yours is set that way as well. Link to comment
