(Archived) creating new notebook

I feel like such a dunce. I've been using Evernote for over a year but can't remember how to create a new notebook. I've spent the last 2 hours searching every "help" link, but with no success. Can somebody help me?

Would help if you mentioned which client you're using. In the web client, at the bottom of all notebooks, edit, new notebook. Windows client, 3.5 file, new notebook or right click on the file bar (left pane.) Windows 3.1 probably the same as 3.5 but definitely should be able to do file, new notebook.
