engberg 89 Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 Check within Evernote Preferences, under Clipping. Make sure that you have "Use the Safari clipper plugin" selected.Other than that, you could try a reboot.
mozart11 0 Posted May 26, 2010 Author Posted May 26, 2010 All checked. Rebooted a few times. Each time Safari is Quit and then re-opened EN icon gone in Safari toolbar. Thanks though. I just trashed it all. Spent to much time trying to get it to work.
Kentzo 0 Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 The Evernote toolbar button isn't gone. It just moves to a wrong place: To Developers Not long ago I was working on a plugin for Safari — RecentlyClosedTabs. And I also encountered this problem. Here is how I fixed it: http://github.com/Kentzo/RecentlyClosedTabs/blob/master/CustomToolbarButtonExtension.m (see enableExtensionWithDelegate:error: method)
historydoll 0 Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 I am having a similar problem. I have enabled the Safari clipper in Preferences, and it works fine. But apparently it has to reload itself every time Safari opens, because the log is showing this every time:Jun 7 10:47:40 jennywren Safari[897]: Evernote Safari Clipper Plugin version 83332 at your service!Jun 7 10:47:51 jennywren Safari[897]: EVERNOTE: This is where I try to get the Safari toolbar button inserted.Jun 7 10:47:51 jennywren Safari[897]: EVERNOTE: Have we already done our first time insertion: 1Jun 7 10:47:51 jennywren Safari[897]: EVERNOTE: Updating toolbar from prefs.Jun 7 10:47:51 jennywren Safari[897]: EVERNOTE: Found Safari 4 toolbar prefsJun 7 10:47:51 jennywren Safari[897]: EVERNOTE: Safari toolbar items: (\n BackForwardToolbarIdentifier,\n "ws.agile.1Password.toolbarButton",\n InputFieldsToolbarIdentifier\n)Jun 7 10:47:51 jennywren Safari[897]: EVERNOTE: Did not find Elephant in Safari toolbar items.Jun 7 10:47:51 jennywren Safari[897]: EVERNOTE: Our toolbar item list: (\n BackForwardToolbarIdentifier,\n "com.evernote.SafariClipperPlugin.ClipToEvernote",\n "ws.agile.1Password.toolbarButton",\n InputFieldsToolbarIdentifier\n)Jun 7 10:47:51 jennywren Safari[897]: EVERNOTE: Found Elephant in our own toolbar items list at index 1Jun 7 10:47:51 jennywren Safari[897]: EVERNOTE: Inserting Elephant at index 1Jun 7 10:47:51 jennywren Safari[897]: EVERNOTE: Finished toolbar customization.Jun 7 10:49:30 jennywren Safari[897]: doClip: empty path.Jun 7 10:49:31: --- last message repeated 12 times ---Jun 7 10:49:30 jennywren [0x0-0x1a0ea0d].com.apple.Safari[897]: Mon Jun 7 10:49:30 jennywren.local Safari[897] : doClip: empty path.Jun 7 10:49:52: --- last message repeated 12 times ---Any ideas? Thanks.
engberg 89 Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 Thanks for the report, that's the current behavior, but we're still investigating solutions.

In 10.6.3. EN Version 1.9.0 (83438). Install EN plugin in Safari checked in EN preferences.
In Safari I Customize Toolbar - add the EN icon to the toolbar. When I quit Safari and reopen the EN icon is gone.
Anyway to make it stay in?
Thanks
