Where's highlighting?

I can't find the highlighter in either the beta or the normal web client. Where is it? I need to be able to highlight to take notes for class.

Unfortunately, this isn't a feature we have in the Web Client right now. Sorry for the inconvenience. We do have this feature in our mobile and desktop clients if you need the functionality right now.

Okay, thanks for the quick response. Since there's no portable Windows client and I can't install programs on the school computers, I'll just have to use my laptop to take notes.

Not sure which clients you have, but just in case you weren't aware, we have a lot of solutions for Windows users.  Doesn't quite solve the problem that you can't install on school computers but hope these are useful:

Thanks Nancy! I do have both Windows and OS X Mavericks installed on my laptop, and Evernote is installed on both partitions. On my desktop at home, though, I use NixNote 2 (which supports highlighting) since Evernote isn't available for Linux.

Thanks for flagging your scenario for us.  Good for us to keep these inconsistencies in mind and how it affects our users who are on multiple clients.
