Tables don't adjust to the amount of writing in the new version.

 

Previously the width of each cell in a table would adjust depending on how much writing was in each column, do you know of this issue? and will it be fixed any time soon? having it rigid looks nice but its not as useful or efficient and having it adjust to the amount of content in each cell. having a choice when you make the table would be good adjusting or rigid.

I assume you are using EN Mac 5.6, right?

 

I didn't like the previous approach of expanding to a certain % of screen width either.

The best, IMO, is "fit to text".  This keeps the tables/cell size small, but expands a cell as you add text to it.

 

Of course, the very best would be to give the user an option:  (1) Fit to Text;  (2) % Screen;  (3) Fixed

Yes I'm using EN Mac 5.6

 

I use the tables as a area to add clients details and it adjusts for the length of peoples email and phone numbers and works really well.

 

Really hoping this will get fixed soon
