Long time, happy Evernote user here. I recently upgraded my Intel MBP i9 to Ventura 13.2 and had this same issue: Activity monitor showed Evernote Helper (Renderer) constantly pegged above 100% CPU, with laptop fans running constantly. I followed the advice early in the thread and moved the Evernote folder to Evernote.old, deleted the Evernote App in Applications, and re-installed it from the Apple Store. It worked! The problem is gone. Thank you! Here's a one-liner Terminal command to move the Evernote folder, in case it helps anyone: mv ~"/Library/Application Support/Evernote" ~"/Library/Application Support/Evernote.old" Do that then delete the Evernote.app and re-install from the Apple Store. That is really just a rehash of what folks are doing above, but I believe it's the fastest, most reliable method. Thanks everyone!
