Rolling out Evernote desktop 10.60.4
nandamuri replied to Federico Simionato's topic in Evernote General Discussions
I am also experiencing this problem when editing numbered lists. I am losing some part of notes atleast once or twice everyday. -
In Evernote, in Note info we will have the word count of the Note. But if we want to know number of words of particular topic within a note, it is not possible. In MS Word, when we select a text (say selected 4 lines of text in a document ), then number of words selected will be displayed in left side bottom. This feature is helpful, when we have to follow word limits. We cannot create a new Note for every topic. Within a note I have 10 - 12 topics, I cannot exceed 500 words for a topic. I request evernote to introduce this feature : word count of selected text.

Sometimes it becomes necessary to change things we have already done → like changing font color, font size, highlight color etc. For example: For me some font colors are not visible clearly (appear dull) when printing on white paper. But those colors are very good when reading on computer or iPAD. I have 1000+ notes highlighted in these colors. But now when I want to print them on paper, I want to change those colour to some other more clearly visible color. Doing this manually will takes several days. If there is feature to Find and Replace "Font Color" I can do in seconds for each notes. For example: If I want to change all yellow color text to red color text, then I fill select yellow color in "Find" and select Red color in " Replace". We can extend this feature Font size, Highlight color, Bold, Underline, Italics etc.. For example: Find text with font size 18 and replace it with font size 20. For example: Find "Text highlighted in Pink" and Replace with " text highlighted in Yellowish". For example: Find text in "Bold" and replace "Bold" with "underline". We can also interchange between all the above mentioned aspects. For example: Find "Font Color Yellow" and Replace with " Yellow + underline" or Replace with "Red + Bold" or Replace with "Only underline" etc... For example: Find Text highlighted in Yellow and Replace with "Text highlighted in Pink + Font color Green" Or Replace with "Underline" Or Replace with "Font color Red" etc... Thus, this feature can be used in mutliple ways. This will improve our productivity and save lot of time. I request the forum members to comment your opinion on this feature request. @gazumped @PinkElephant @agsteele @s2sailor @Mike P @RMorgan @janndk @Boot17

iOS - Notes Printing Blank
nandamuri replied to Mike Mike's topic in Evernote for iOS Issues (Versions 10.0 and above)
@PinkElephant No, splitting of table in betweeen box (between a row) does not happen when exported as PDF from Windows. (Picture attached below) In windows evernote export, if the table is more than 1 full page, then the table splits after "Row" (Box). Not in between "row" (Box). In windows, when the table is small (not 1 full page), the table shifts to next page, without any breaks in table. (picture below) So this is a problem of IOS evernote version. It is perfect in windows version. -

@PinkElephant Printing is solved in 10.51.2. But tables are splitting in middle of the box between 2 pages. (Picture below) -

Thank you @janndk , Can you also kindly report Dark mode problem to EN support. Support team will check and tell whether it is a problem or not. Dark mode is very very important issue for me. Please kindly report it ti EN support. @janndk Both numbered list and dark mode text are perfectly working in Legacy version. But there are 2 other issues PDF from legacy version -- Text font size and spacing between lines. Hence, I have to depend on latest version and dark mode is essential for me.

@Boot17 I have opened your PDF in Adobe reader and Foxit Reader. In both PDF readers, the normal text is almost invisible. In your "Negative" reader there is still one issue: The 2 colours highlighted have changed their colour. The second line is Red clour. But it changed to Light blue colour in dark mode. The third line is Light Blue colour. But it changed to yellowish colour in dark mode. In Dark Mode, in your "Negative reader", normal text is visible, but coloured text changes to other colours. In Dark mode, in Adobe reader, norml text is almost invisible, but coloured text remains as it is (doesn't change to other colours). The correct thing is : In dark mode, the text should be clearly visible and the coloured text should remains as it is(without changing colour). When I export PDF from OneNote and "Evernote Legacy", this correct thing happens. When exported as PDF from OneNote: In dark mode, in Adobe reader, the normal text is clearly visible and the coloured text remains as it is (without changing colour). When exported as PDF from "Evernote Legacy" : In dark mode, in Adobe reader, the normal text is clearly visible and the coloured text remains as it is (without changing colour). But problem with Evernote legacy is the font size variations and spacing between lines in the exported PDF. Present Evernote (version 10+) should also get to this correct situation.

@gazumped I have reported on twitter to @evernotehelps. @gazumped Can you kindly check whether you (or) any of our commuity members are also facing the issue of reading exported PDF in dark mode. I also request community members to once check this. Do the following: Export a Notes as PDF → Open the exported PDF in a PDF reader / Adobe Reader → Switch to dark mode in PDF reader / Adobe reader. Kindly let me know whether you are able to see text clearly in dark mode in PDF reader / Adobe reader.

Thanks for response @agsteele, I have tried print to PDF as well. ( Save as PDF; Print to PDF, Direct Print ) I have also tried HTML export and then printing HTML. I have tried in both iPAD and Windows. Nothing worked. Can you once check in your system. Export a notes as PDF and open the exported PDF in dark mode in any PDF reader.

Thank you for suggestion @gazumped , I have not attached PDF to notes. But I have exported PDFs from OneNote, which are clearly visible (normal text & coloured text) in both dark mode and light mode of Adobe reader. The text books I study are also clearly visible in both dark mode and light mode of Aobe reader. Only exported PDFs from evernote are not visible in Dark mode of Adobe reader (in other PDF readers also).
