About OperEd

  1. Hello EverDevs, Unfortunately Web Clipper is broken for me again. I click on the Chrome extension icon and the ballon pops out and stops expanding after presenting Evernote Web Clipper. I'm using Mac OS X 10.6.8 Chrome: 19.0.1084.56 This is a work machine, but I may be able to update Chrome through IT department if that will resolve the problem. I've added Clearly and that seems to work fine and I can clip from that for now, but I'd like to keep using the full functionality offered by Web Clipper if possible. Cheers!
  2. Web Clipper for Chrome (5.3.1) seems to be working for me again, both at work on a Mac using Chrome 15.0.874.106 and at home (I don't know what version of Chrome I have, but it'll be the latest one). I can clip articles, selections, full pages again. Thanks for fixing the problem!
  3. Ditto for me, however, the work version of Chrome I use is 15.0.874.106, which I can't do anything about as it's a locked down corporate machine.
  4. Okay, uninstalled it and did a fresh install, and it appears to be working again - instantly wants to clip an article I previously could only save the URL of. Will feedback if it goes crazy again. It doesn't look to be a new version though, still 5.3.1.
  5. My reaction to 5.3 on Chrome is that it doesn't work properly (using 18.0.1025.162 m). I get the full Evernote bubble when I click the extension icon but the only selection option that works now is URL - which makes Evernote a bit pointless. I appreciate that things have to be updated and we all like to see products improve, I also understand that there are lots of things that can go wrong with so many variables involved, but please stop breaking the core functions. This is twice I've experienced problems and I was genuinely going to subscribe to the service and use it as my web research clipping tool of choice, but it's just not reliable enough. "If it ain't broke, don't update it and break it" - I'd be happier if more tech companies had slogans like that pinned to their walls rather than pie in the sky twaddle like "break stuff, move fast". If people are relying on a product everyday breaking stuff ain't appreciated, although I do appreciate the great product you do have when it is working.
  6. Just a note to say that I've discovered I can still use selection using the right-click menu method, it's just that the bubble doesn't open properly (as per picture attached by the OP) and you therefore can't clip selections/articles/urls that way.
  7. I gather the answer is to upgrade to Chrome version 17, which is something I can't do for my work machine.
  8. Just updated to Chrome for Mac version 15.0.874.106, through our work network's software updater, but still not working - sadly.
  9. I have exactly the same problem, but, as I mentioned on Twitter, I can't change the Chrome version I'm using at work as it's locked down. Currently using Chrome for Mac version 13.0.782.112 and web clipper version 5.2. Is there an alternative way to get articles etc fed into Evernote for now? I use it all the time at home. I'd prefer not to have to email everything too. Is there another archiving app that I can use that links into Evernote, perhaps? Thanks for any help you can provide.
