Sesquipedali

The widget-based home screen is completely useless to me. In fact, it reduces the value of Evernote to the point that I'm actively looking for a replacement. I understand that people have different needs. But what about MY needs? I need a simple, easy-to-use interface that just gets the job done. I don't want artwork. I don't want tasks. I don't want a scratchpad. I don't want "pretty". I just want to get to my notes. That's why I captured them. Is there any way to get a plain, simple home page?
