  1. I've old notes from over a decade that I'd like to organize better to notebooks and stacs.

The issue with that is that notes' edit/update date seems to change once I move them from notebook to another.

This is insane! Is this a bug?
If you move file in your computer from folder to another you don't change/update them...

If I move a note from temp notebook to an actual topic notebook I don't change the note... This runes all my meeting notes since this makes all my meetings appear like they occurred today 🤪

How do I reorganize my notes without updating them?

  2. Again yesterday 07:30-15:45:

    • 0 changes I made during the day using laptop got synced on the android version (I have 2 mobile phones)
    • 0 notes I wrote using the mobile phone got saved anywhere. While writing the note the "tick mark" is grey instead of green.
    • Around 15:45 all the notes suddenly get synced on both of the mobile phones. Also new note got synced on laptop and the "tick mark" was green.

  3. I've had the problem for two-three weeks now. Not every day but at least every second day.
--> This problem most likely concerns version 10.6 released on Mar 8.

    1. Changes that I do on my computer don't get synced on mobile phone (fix: reboot the phone)
    2. Changes I make on the mobile phone disappear. They don't appear on the computer nor on the phone when I open Evernote next time. (fix: use pen and paper instead of evernote 🤬)

Anybody else having these problems? This is really really frustrating...

I use the date/time shortcut frequently inside notes. (Control + semicolon).

In the new Windows desltop software, I see on the list of keyboard shortcuts that Shift + Alt+ D inserts date and time.

For me, it's inserting the date but no time. Does anyone have any insight into this point?

    Same problem here.

    Evernote 6: Shift + Alt + D = 28.10.2020 17:54 (my system settings since I'm European)
    Evernote 10: Shift + Alt + D = October 28, 2020 (American format without the time) / Ctrl + Shift + D = 5:54 PM (that damn American format again 😫)

Would it be so difficult to fix it back?
I really feel like the internation clients like myself are forgotten here...

One is able to add date to Evernote text by pressing Shift + Alt + D.

    • Evernote 6 = 8.10.2020 14:35 (my windows date format since I'm European)
    • Evernote beta = October 8, 2020

I really do not that you now forcefully push the American format into the notes.
Now that Shift + Alt + D is useless to me.

Could you please fix it back to the way it used to be?

According to Evernote help https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/209004807-Keyboard-shortcuts-in-Evernote-for-Windows  there should be no change. 🤨
    Find: "Insert date and time".

No direct solution, sorry. You can follow CalS on this.

An alternative if the mail-to-account from the Scanner/printer works in general might be this:

    1. Install a mail client on a PC / Mac that is able to process mail based on rules. I have Thunderbird, know it exists in Outlook and I am sure other Mail Clients do the same.
    2. Establish a rule that mails from your @ HP-Account will be forwarded to your @ m.evernote.com account. You can even specify the notebook and apply tags by modifying the Mail title through the rule based processing. Put an @ in front to specify the notebook, and a # for a tag.
    3. When you mail to this client, and it is active, your mails will be send directly to EN. Else they will wait in the inbox until the Mail program is opened, and be processed then.

Sorry, it is not the best way, but probably does the job as workaround using mail instead of moving files into folders.

    Sir,

    You are a GENIUS!

    Solution:

    1. Scanner still has my.personal.scanner@gmail.com account.
    2. Scanner sends email to my.personal.scanner2@gmail.com email that I just created.
    3. my.personal.scanner2@gmail.com automatically forwards that email to username.xxx@m.evernote.com address.
    4. 💪

  8. I'm getting desperate 😭

After argueing two months with Evernote support it is their final stand that I need to contact HP support because there is something wrong with the device since it cannot send email to @evernote.com address 😂

I don't know if I should laugh or cry...

I have also setup various email accounts with different SMTP servers to my HP. All of them work, but not with the @m.evernote.com...

Please. Is there anybody else to contact than https://www.evernote.com/SupportLogin.action

  9. Hi John and thank you for the input!

The scanner email fuction works (almost) perfectly. It uses the Gmail SMTP-server and that requires autentication. So all the scanned email appear in my.personal.scanner@gmail.com  sent-folder.

So far the emails and attacments have arrived to all my personal mails and @sendtodropbox.com also works.
If I scan something to my.mail@workplace.com I get an email from my.personal.scanner@gmail.com and if I reply that the message of course appears in my.personal.scanner@gmail.com  inbox.
For some reason (your guess of spam souds legit) only @m.evernote.com doesn't work...

  10. Damn. Looks like there could have been some problem with my service provider yesterday. Or some issue at Evernote's end?
--> Anyway, PDF upload from all the devices except the scanner work now! And I didn't change a thing.

But here it gets funny: When I go the the sent folder of the scanner (via webmail) and either reply all or forward that message then it gets uploaded to Evernote... But not straight from the scanner...
(I have created a separate my.personal.scanner@gmail.com account for my scanner.)

I guess I need to contact the Support for that.

  11. I setup my HP scanner to send PDFs to my username.xxx@m.evernote.com address.
Immediatelly I faced a problem: no new notes appeared on my account.

After testing a bit and resetting the @m.evernote.com addressfor  8 times I figured out: every single time there is what so ever attachment in the email I get an error email from Evernote:

    We couldn’t deliver your message
The emailed note was received, but an internal error occurred while processing it. Please try sending the note again later.

What is wrong? I thought one was able to save PDF-files to the Evernote account by email...

PS. By testing I mean I tried to send mail from various devices to @m.evernote.com address.

    What  device/platform do you  use?

    >>Would that be possible in the names of Notes as well..?

Works for me (Mac and iPad)

    Windows =D

Wouldn't have guessed that all I need to do is to rename the notebook using my mobilephone...
    I tried. It works. Thanks!

  13. I just saw a webinar where Stacey Harmon uses different icons in the names of her Notebooks.
I took a screenshot and put it here as well.

Now how can I do that?
Google didnät help me. Maybe the forum does 😃

Would that be possible in the names of Notes as well..?
