We are actively working on this feature for Windows. I can't give an ETA, but I can say soon. Keep your eyes peeled!

The requests for this feature have definitely been noted and I appreciate the spirited discussion!
Just as a point of reference, describing the complexity of this task as "small" or assuming that it would "only take half a day" is grossly underestimating the level of effort involved in modifying a database structure supporting 80 million users (and billions of notes) in a production environment Happy to discuss this further with anyone in a separate thread!

We don't comment on timelines but I will say this... I'd keep your eyes peeled

Great idea. Thanks and noted.

This thread is being followed by Evernote employees.

If that's the case, when you clip a news article with a very wide header image (with a fixed size), that image will get squished in a way it wouldn't have before.
-
I'll post my question again
We generally display images at the width of whatever viewing device is used. If you resized a large image manually on your Mac to 1,000px width and then opened that note on your iOS device, would you expect it to still be 100% width or to display at 1,000px?

I notice that this is your only post, and perhaps EN might take note that you bothered to offer them feedback, but I doubt that they will take it to heart.... We will be cancelling our test accounts. And one reason we are here is that a number of us have and love our personal Evernote accounts! But this is a need that is a key feature for business sharing.
We read every post on this forum and take every one into consideration.
Thanks for posting Will.

This is an issue that should be fixed in more recent versions of Evernote on Mac.

Hey folks,
Don't worry! We read every single comment because at the end of the day, we are all Evernote users and we love this product too. We understand this is a desired feature and we are working on some other very exciting features too
Just to let you know we are thinking about this issue, I'd love for you to weigh in on this:
We generally display images at the width of whatever viewing device is used. If you resized a large image manually to 1,000px width and then opened that note on your iOS device, would you expect it to still be 100% width or to display at 1,000px?
As always, thank you all so much for the feedback.

We don't discuss timelines but this is a common request that is duly noted. Thanks.

Lite, I couldn't tell if you knew from your post, but highlighting was just released in our Mac client

Sorry to hear that Bob. Either way, here's how it works:
- Notes created in Skitch can not be edited because they contain other metadata that allow for some cool advanced Skitch functionality (think repeated PDF annotation)
- Let's say you have an image in a regular Evernote note. You can right click that image (or use the Skitch button in the note editor toolbar) to markup that image. Any modifications to that image will get put right back in place in the original Evernote note (complete with other content). This will allow you to do stuff like this: https://www.evernote.com/shard/s3/sh/54a3e783-39ac-445b-a52f-18700f56283c/b048f598f7712189594ab7942ba07647

You can easily resize images (their physical size) in Skitch. From Evernote, that just means clicking the Skitch icon in the note editor toolbar and choosing an image (or right clicking an image, and choosing to markup in skitch). Then, resize the image in skitch and then save back to Evernote. You should be able to both reduce file size and decrease display size this way.
Good luck! Feel free to follow up with support with any more questions.

Lite1, you're right. This method only helps Martin's 2nd case. However, this workflow is definitely available on iOS as well.

You can now resize pictures (and do much more) very easily with our Skitch integration. Just right-click on an image and choose Markup with Skitch.

Let me know if it doesn't work in Evernote for Mac v5.2
Sharable Links no longer work

Hey current Evernote team, public note links are down. This is affecting EN, Skitch, etc etc. https://status.evernote.com/ isn't showing any issues.
PS. Hi folks! Hope you all are doing well!
