At a bare minimum, the EV folk should have warned us this was going to be happening and assure us that everything is OK. Instead, they just implemented the change and it caught all of us by total surprise ... and not a little panic.

Here it is 2023 and Evernote still has not incorporated such a basic function as text transformations. Unbelievable! Even your most basic text editors have this capability.

Interesting. I suppose I will eventually see this as an improvement, once I have clicked and updated the data structure of my 18,902 notes accrued over the years, but meanwhile it's a bit, as I said, annoying. Is there no way to update the entire database in one swoop?

I am running the most recent version of Evernote Desktop (10.56.9-mac-ddl-public) on a Mac M1 with Ventura 13.3.1.

Ever since the last Evernote update, my notes are appearing (loading) very slowly. Whereas, it used to be when I clicked an item in the notes list, the selection would instantly appear. Now it takes from 2 to 5 seconds to appear. While this may not sound like a lot, it is very annoying.

What has happened to Evernote to cause this effect? Is it a bug they are working on?

It appears that the sharedwith:* option only shows notes that have been shared with specific individuals. It does not produce a list of notes that have been shared publicly with anyone having the link.

P. S. Has anyone done the switch to OneNote? Does the transition go smoothly?

I agree totally with gianlucapalumbo. I hate it when tech companies use their clients as guinea pigs and that's what I feel like. Why do I complain?

I have two paid subscriptions. On one of them, I use Evernote to store and find my photos which I use every single day. I found it the best option for locating my pics to use in teaching and in presentations. I update to the latest version yesterday—which one would expect that they would have worked out any kinks. WRONG!!! . In the sidebar, half of my pics show up as default icons—which obliterates the usefulness that I had enjoy previously. In the notes themselves, it turned all my pics into attachments.

Not only that, there is only ONE OPTION in the Preferences.

You need to fire whoever thought of sending this out now. What were you thinking?

I also want to add my frustratiion with this issue. Finding stuff, in m opinion, is the MAIN benefit of Evernote. Please fix this.

I agree. Evernote should have a simple "export to docx." There's no excuse for lacking this. When I export to html, most of the time Word cannot open it. Says the document must be corrupted. C'mon guys and gals, this is a much-needed addition to Evernote.
