  1. I just want to throw my 2 cents in on the markdown issue. I agree with a lot of what's been said. But I understand that a full markdown implementation in evernote is probably not a great idea. Even if we think it's becoming more common, I can guarantee that if I said something about markdown to most of my friends in the real world they would have no idea what I'm talking about. That being said, I also agree that the current implementation could be made much more useful if there were a copy/export as markdown option. I use pandoc to generate academic papers in both microsoft word and latex (for pdfs). I already achieve this functionality with the wonderful evernote plugin for sublime text. But having the option built into evernote would open it up for a lot more people (i.e. those not using editors like sublime text). So, the basic message is enable some kind of markdown output in addition to the input option you've already provided.
  2. The one thing that keeps me from moving my research archive over to Evernote is Devonthink's "see also" feature. Evernote already has a "related notes" feature, but it's pretty limited. Depending on how this works, it may turn out to be a more than viable replacement. Like ScottLougheed mentioned, if they can get it to work with academic databases, it would be a game changer.
  3. Filed a support ticket - got a prompt response - thanks! Turned out to be a problem with a single note - they recommended trashing the note, emptying the trash and restarting evernote. I took a look at the note and noticed a pdf attachment that had no data - got rid of the attachment and sync worked fine after that. Not sure if that helps your problem, but it'd be worth looking at the activity log to see if you can narrow the problem down to a single note.
  4. I'm having the same problem. Hope it can be resolved soon - latest update did not fix it. I've got important school work I'm trusting evernote with.
