It's ridiculous. Came here for high CPU usage (sending app to background worked, thanks!) and found memory footprint problem.
The reason for that is electron - new evernote is not just an app, but a chrome browser rendering html+js evernote app inside it's window. Electron is known to be a great resource hog, but very cheap in production. The native app was much better.
Starting to look for alternatives. Electron is no-go for me.
