  1. This is what I've been advised to do: Change your password on your web account. Log out of Evernote on your devices. Log back in. Enter your new password. But I have unsynchronized notes and EN warns me that they will be lost. This seems kind of silly -- why not a "Change Password" menu entry on the mobile device?
  2. Thanks for the response! It appears that I'm not the first to request the feature ( ) and it also looks like Microsoft OneNote has the capability ( http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/14595/ocr-anything-with-onenote-2007-and-2010/ ) It would be a huge help creating a contacts database, or making sense of handwritten notes. I hope EN will consider adding it as a feature. I'd be willing to fork over a few bucks for the capability, particularly if it were integrated into EN.
  3. I recently attended a trade show and have the usual two-inch stack of business cards. I took pictures of the cards and found that the OCR works great for search, even highlighting the field that I'm looking for. I'd really like to take this to the next step and be able to do things like select text from the graphic and be able to paste it into an email or send it to a phone or develop a contacts database. Is there any way to do that? If it's in the Premium version, I'd probably spring for it.
  4. Updated on my Droid Eris. Still won't upload a note with a 750k picture.
  5. I'm having the same problem. Pictures are about 760k. No pictures will upload. Droid Eris. There's an option to mail a log file to EN support but it bounced.
  6. I had taken the picture of a receipt with a tool called [url-https://market.android.com/details?id=com.intsig.camscanner&hl=en]CamScanner which converts the picture directly to PDF and then apparently discards the original picture. This is not a deal-breaker by any stretch, but it does add something to be aware of, especially when using the "any way is up" tablet.
  7. Now that I've taken the Evernote plunge, I'm looking for appropriate uses of the tool. One was to organize receipts from business trips. I used another tool to "scan" my receipts with my phone and put them in PDF format. I did it a couple of days ago, so I would expect the OCR has had time to analyze the various receipt. So far the Search function does not recognize any of them. It worked great when I played with it -- photographing a magazine and then searching. That showed up in minutes. The PDF doesn't seem to be getting search hits. It's very readable, but it is a PDF of a picture, and it's sideways. I should not think that either situation would make a difference. Chris
  8. Hi I've just joined and figured I'd just jump in. I've installed EN on my various gadgets (Android phone, Tablet, Blackberry work phone, Work PC, Home PC) and am looking for appropriate uses. In the course I've generated a few questions, but this forum is a pretty daunting place for a newcomer. So just a suggestion, how about a "shallow end" for those of us who aren't yet conversant in the local dialect?
